La Profesoroa y amiga, de la Escuela de Vilarinho, Maria da Conceição Oliveira Monteiro Marques da Silva, nos invitó a participar en un proyecto que ellos estaban realizando junto con Belgica con Escuelas japonesas.

The Teacher and friend, of the School of Vilarinho, María da Conceição Oliveira Monteiro Silva, invited us to participate in a project that they were carrying out together with Belgium and Japan.

Nos ponemos en contacto con el Profesor de la Escuela Japonesa que participa con nosotros en este proyecto, D. Tsutomu Iyanagi recibimos las semilLas de Radish de Japon a finales de Septiembre y después de preparar la tierra de nuestro invernadero y en algunas huertas de nuestros alumnos y profesores procedimos a la siembra.

We contact the Professor of the Japanese School who participates with us in this project, D. Tsutomu Iyanagi and we received the seeds of Radish from Japan at the end of September, after preparing the land of our hothouse and also some vegetable gardens of our students and teachers we proceeded to the growing.

En la semana del 20 de Octubre después de preparar bien la tierra plantamos nuestras semillas. También hicimos en las clases, semilleros, para controlar mejor el crecimiento de nuestro Radish. A los tres o cuatro días nacieron nuestras plantas y tuvieron un crecimiento muy rápido, así en dos semanas las transplantamos a los terrenos donde teniamos las otras plantas (Invernadero).

In the week of October 20 after preparing the land we plant our seeds. We also did in the classes, nurseries, to control the best growing of our Radish. In three or four days! time our plants were borned and they had a very quick growing, so in two weeks! time we transplant them to the lands where we had got the other plants (Hothouse).

Fuimos controlando periodicamente el crecimiento con diversos cuidados, como riego, sacar las malas hierbas, etc.

We were controlling the growing periodically with diverse cares, like watering, to take out the weeds, etc

Últimamente tuvimos unos de vacaciones lo mismo que sucedió en Navidades y descuidamos un poco nuestro Radish, pero él siguió creciendo hasta alcanzar el tamaño y peso que presentamos.

Lately we had some of holidays the same thing that happened in Christmas and we neglect our Radish a little, but it continued growing until reaching the size and weight that we are going to show.

Los resultados del cultivo de Radish (lo recogimos el 26/02/2004) en nuestro Instituto fue el siguiente:

The results of the cultivation of Radish (we pick up it 26/02/2004) in our School were the following ones:

Roots (diameter).Diametro de la raiz...80 mm.

leaves (long). Longitud de las hojas....28 cm.

Total (long) . Longitud total................41 cm.

Weight .Peso.....................................85 gr.

Probamos a cultivar el Radish sin tierra, solo con agua, pero los resultados no fuerno nada buenos.

 We tried to cultivate the Radish without land, only with water, but the results were not good.
